Noughts and Crosses at Derby Theatre
On Thursday 14th February Year 11 GCSE students visited Derby Theatre to see a performance of Noughts and Crosses.
The purpose of this trip was to give the students a chance to see provocative, compelling work in a professional context as they work towards a written theatre review - a significant part of their GCSE.
The performance of Noughts and Crosses was a brave, gripping Romeo and Juliet story, based on the best-selling novel by acclaimed writer Malorie Blackman and adapted by Sabrina Mahfouz. It was a captivating drama of love, revolution and what is means to grow up in a divided world.
The students represented the school is a mature and respectful manner and were very impressed with the cast and production.
