25 girls from Harris Academy aged between 14 – 16 are involved in this year’s County Young Coach Academy.
 

The County Young Coach Academy is part of a national programme delivered locally by Harris C of E Academy School Sports Partnership, aimed at developing young coaches from across the country.
 

The academy aims to support and develop the Young Coaches in the transition from school based participation and coaching to a community environment. The pathway provided between developing young coaches in schools to a community setting will provide an opportunity for the Young Coaches to gain greater insight and experience into the requirements of being an ‘Outstanding’ Coach.
 

We are delighted that 25 girls from across Key Stage 3 and 4 are involved in this programme and have started on their coaching journey. As part of the programme the girls will attend 4 workshops, deliver 10 hours of coaching within their own school to include supporting curriculum PE, extracurricular clubs, leadership within the school games or delivering their own competition or festival. We look forward to following them on their coaching journey.
