This week, nine Year 10 Think Higher students have taken part in a GCSE Revision Workshop.

 

Each day centred on a particular theme or core subject.  The focus was on Maths and English and specialists visited the group to deliver interactive workshops and tuition.  They also covered getting exam ready, provided revision support and revision packs.  Workshops were run on the growth mind-set and mental health.

 

Some feedback from the participants:

ThinkHigher has helped me understand what life is like after school and it showed me all the options I could do when I finish school. The sessions helped me to see how important my GCSE’s are.

 

Over the past couple of weeks, ThinkHigher has helped me with things I struggle with e.g. revision.

 

These sessions have been really useful for encouraging me to go to university and they’ve also helped me develop my confidence. Thank you for the opportunity.

 

It was epic getting free resources. Also, the English revision was fun.

 

These sessions have given me a clearer insight to my future and what I should be doing and looking out for. They have also help me improve my life skills like my sociability, confidence etc….

 

ThinkHigher has helped me to understand how to revise better and also providing me with some necessary equipment to revise better. The maths day did also help with improving my fraction skills. The English day was very enjoyable. Thank you!

 

These sessions have been good because we have learnt new things and have worked with people we would not normally talk too. I have come out my comfort zone.

 

It has helped me certify that I want to go to University. The activities have been intriguing and thoughtful.
