Harris celebrates National Apprenticeship Week

We welcomed many companies and education providers to their careers fair on Wednesday 7 February. Students from Year 9 visited the stands to explore future pathways and to find information that would help them with their GCSE choices. Students from other year groups along with their families joined us after school.

Many companies and education providers were represented from engineering to charities, banking to the civil service. We also welcomed colleges, sports academies, sixth forms and universities. Volunteers talked to students about opportunities and their own career journeys.

We were pleased to welcome even more exhibitors to our Fair in 2024. There was a brilliant atmosphere with students and company ambassadors enthusiastic to talk about future options. We would like to thank those who volunteered to attend the fair. It was also great to see many Harris Alumni returning to inspire current students.

The Careers Fair was one of our activities during National Apprenticeship Week which aims to raise awareness of and celebrate apprenticeships. Harris was also visited by the Warwickshire College Group Grand Gazebo Tour. Students found out about apprenticeships and T Levels through activities such as bricklaying and VR headsets.
