SIAMS Inspection Results

Harris Church of England Academy is delighted to announce the results of their recent SIAMs inspection that took place in January.

As a Church of England School, Harris is subject to the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) to assess whether the school has embedded and is reflecting a Christian Vision.  The report states unequivocally that Harris is “living up to its foundation as a Church School, and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish”.  Harris are pleased that the judgement given by SIAMS inspector reflects the school’s Christian ethos in caring for all those in its family, with the report stating that “The culture of care for all at Harris is exceptional”.

The report also praises the students who “behave well, showing empathy and loyalty towards others”, and stated that the staff “are committed to making learning in lessons the best it can be for all”.  It also highlighted the school’s partnership with The Brooke School as a mutually beneficial arrangement that “enhances the expertise and support for SEND within the school”.

On receiving the positive report from the inspector, Headteacher, Roberta Harrison stated “I am thrilled that our commitment to every member of our Harris family has been recognised and we will continue to ensure that we do everything that we can, whilst we have time, to do good to all.”
