• Year 11 Mock Interviews

  In the same week as Lord Sugar put the Apprentice candidates through a set of gruelling interviews, Harris Year 11 students experienced a mock interview with real life professional employers. It was great to be able to have this in person again after two years.

   

  The Task

  Students had to apply for their dream job, filling in an application form and preparing for possible questions.

   

  The Interviews

  On 15 and 16 March they were then interviewed for this job by one or two employers. We had a fantastic selection of interviewers from the following companies;

  • Heart of England Training (HOET)
  • Siemens
  • Revenue and Customs (HMRC)
  • Barclays
  • BT
  • Sue…Sue Tonks
  • Brooke School
  • IET
  • Coventry Diocese Multi Academy Trust

   

  The Boardroom

  Okay… We didn’t have a boardroom but we were very impressed with all our Year 11 “candidates” and the feedback from interviewers was excellent.

   

  You have done an amazing job year 11 and should be very proud of yourselves.  

  

• National Careers Week

  Wed 09 Mar 2022

  We have had a busy week of activities to support National Careers Week. Students have had the opportunity to engage with employers from Cats Protection to the NHS, Willmott Dixon to King Games.

   

  We also celebrated International Women's Day (IWD) when all Year 7 participated in activities and a presentation given by Brandie Deignan, a CEO in the NHS. Year 10 Citizenship students took part in a IWD Crown Prosecution Service workshop.
