  • Admissions policy

    Tue 24 Oct 2023

The Directors of the Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust are currently determining proposed admission arrangements for admissions to its academies in September 2025. As determined by the School Admissions Code, we are required to consult on these arrangements at least once every 7 years or when significant changes are made, and are inviting comments on the proposed changes.

A copy of the covering letter and proposed admissions policy is available on our website at https://www.covmat.org/multi-academy-trust-policies/ for your information. Alternatively if you require a hard copy of the policy please email info@covmat.org to request. Whilst this is a trust wide policy, the individual school admissions arrangements are included as Appendix 1.

If you wish to comment on the proposed admissions arrangements, please send your response in writing for the attention of Louise Beale, either by post to the address at the bottom of the consultation letter or by email to info@covmat.org. Comments should be received by no later than 9am on Monday 18th December 2023.

  • ICONS Peace Ambassadors

    Tue 03 Oct 2023

Over the course of three days a group of our year 8 Anti Bullying Ambassadors have trained to become International Cross Of Nails (ICONS) Peace Ambassadors.  The training took place at Coventry Cathedral and included the young people learning more about the history of the Cross of Nails and it's beginnings after the destruction of the original Cathedral during the war.  ICONS stands for International Cross of Nails Schools and is a network of primary and secondary schools around the world that have recognised the opportunity for introducing principles of peace, forgiveness, conflict transformation and reconciliation into their school communities and the training was built around these principles.   On the last day of the training our students were honoured to be asked to take part in the Litany of Reconciliation.  This takes place at 12 midday in ICON churches all over the world and is live streamed via the Cathedral Facebook page allowing viewers from all over the world to join in this powerful moment of unity and peace.
