  • Shoe Box Appeal

    Fri 15 Nov 2024

Harris Church of England Academy is proud to announce its participation in the Samaritan's Shoebox Appeal this half term.  Tutor Groups at the school have donated items to fill shoeboxes with gifts for those in need.

The Samaritan's Shoebox Appeal is an annual initiative that collects gift-filled shoeboxes and distributes them to children around the world who are facing poverty, disease, war, and natural disasters. This year, the students at Harris Church of England Academy have enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.

"Our students have shown tremendous generosity and compassion by contributing to the Samaritan's Shoebox Appeal," said Roberta Harrison, Headteacher. "This is an important initiative that allows our young people to connect with and support those in need, both locally and globally. We are proud of their efforts and the positive impact they are making."

Harris has a strong focus on developing well-rounded, socially conscious students. By participating in the Samaritan's Shoebox Appeal, the school is encouraging its students to consider the needs of others and take action to make a positive difference in their communities.
